The ChatGPT Ads launch checklist

Most launch problems happen between disciplines: the ad promise and landing page differ, consent is reviewed too late, or sales cannot identify the leads. A short cross-functional check prevents expensive rework.

01

Commercial and media

Can the team state the audience situation, offer, market, budget, acquisition-cost limit, test period, and stop condition? Is there a named person authorised to change spend?

Are exclusions, frequency or delivery controls, and brand-safety settings reviewed where the account makes them available? Has someone checked the final campaign rather than only the planning sheet?

02

Creative and destination

Does every claim have evidence and an owner? Is sponsorship clear? Does the landing page repeat the offer, load quickly, work on mobile, and explain what happens after the call to action?

Have forms, checkout, error states, confirmation messages, and contact routing been tested by someone outside the project team?

03

Data, privacy, and operations

Do consent behaviour, campaign parameters, conversion events, values, currencies, and deduplication work as intended? Are only necessary and permitted data fields shared?

Can analytics, CRM, commerce, and sales teams recognise the traffic? Is there an incident contact if spend continues while the site or tracking fails?

04

The first two weeks

Schedule checks after launch day, after the first meaningful conversion volume, and at the agreed decision point. Avoid constant edits that make the test impossible to read.

Keep notes on placement quality, customer questions, lead feedback, and technical issues. Those observations are often more useful than an early headline return figure.

More than ten years of change has made us less interested in shortcuts.

Zalster was founded in 2015. The tools have changed quickly since then, while the need for clear priorities, dependable measurement, and well-executed work has remained.

01

Platforms will change

We have seen channels, formats, and algorithms come and go. The strategy still needs to work after the next product update.

02

The business is the reference point

Platform data is useful, but margin, customer quality, and realised sales decide whether the work creates value.

03

Experience should stay close to delivery

Senior specialists remain involved in analysis, implementation, and ongoing decisions—not only the first meeting.
